Chesterfield optometrist to run for Nixon’s seat in House of Delegates
Dr. Roxann Robinson, a Chesterfield County optometrist, will run for the vacant House of Delegates seat held for 16 years by former Del. Samuel A. Nixon Jr., R-Chesterfield.
Nixon recently was appointed chief information officer of the Virginia Information Technologies Agency.
Robinson, a Republican, is the first of what may become several candidates to seek the seat, said Sen. Stephen H. Martin, R-Chesterfield, who announced her candidacy.
